Randy Goldberg is the Co-Founder and Chief Brand Officer of Bombas. He is responsible for bringing the brand to life, creatively conveying the Bombas brand and mission, and leading the design team, to create product that boasts an innovative combination of fashion, function, and philanthropy.
Goldberg graduated from The McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University with a BS in Finance, and is a veteran in digital creative, copywriting, strategy and branding. He has consulted, written and developed unique content for top companies including Nike and vitaminwater, and led the creative development of digital media brand UrbanDaddy. Prior to Bombas, Randy also founded Tennis Partners, a creative consultancy, and Pop Up Flea, a personally curated pop-up market of new and vintage men's goods. Randy has been featured on NBC TODAY Show, ABC Good Morning America, CBS This Morning, Bloomberg TV, Esquire.com and was named the 2017 Entrepreneur of the Year by Georgetown Business.
After working on Wall Street for nearly six years, Nora noticed a pressing need for attractive women’s work wear. She found traditional business suits uncomfortable and unflattering, yet most of the available alternatives were either too suggestive, too expensive, or lacking in functional, practical aspects such as pockets and durable fabric. Luke Holden grew up in Cape Elizabeth, Maine – a third generation lobsterman who started learning the trade at age 13. He attended college at Georgetown University, after which he moved to New York to start a career in investment banking. One day, about three years after moving to NYC, Luke was missing home and sought out a lobster roll to comfort the feeling. He was remiss to find that every lobster roll available was overpriced, drowning in mayo, and diluted with celery. He craved a real Maine-style roll and simply couldn’t find one.
In 2009, Luke turned to his roots and longstanding relationship with the Maine lobstering community to cut out the middleman and bring Maine lobster to the heart of NYC. Thanks to a wonderful team and incredible response from guests, Luke's Lobster has grown beyond New York City, with homes in Washington, DC, Philadelphia, Chicago, Boston, Las Vegas, Miami, and Tokyo! Today, Luke spends the majority of the year in Maine, where he maintains relationships with lobstermen and oversees production at Luke’s Lobster’s processing facility. Luke's He also sits on the boards of the Tenants Harbor Fisherman’s Co-op, Maine Lobster Institute, the Maine Aquaculture Co-op, and the Maine Lobster Marketing Collaborative.
Nick Miller was the founder and CEO of Parking Panda, an industry leading mobile application and optimization platform for parking. AS CEO, Nick led the company's growth to over 30 employees and $25M+ is annual revenue. He signed strategic partnerships with organizations including MLB.com, Amtrak, Greyhound, SAP, and Samsung to drive the company's expansion. In April 2017, Parking Panda was acquired by SpotHero.
Prior to Parking Panda, Nick was a consumer focused product manager at NYC startups Group Commerce (acquired by Nimble) and Crowdtap and was an early employee at LivingSocial. He has extensive experience investing in and advising startups and often consults with scaling companies on business strategy and operations.
Nick graduated magna cum laude from Georgetown University with a degree in Government and Sociology. Outside of work he is a passionate endurance runner, soccer player, and fitness enthusiast that also likes to kick back with a video game and a cold beer to relax.
Cherian Thomas is the Co-Founder & CEO of Spotluck Inc. Cherian took Spotluck from a Georgetown University Master’s capstone to the #1 “dining” app on the iTunes App Store. The mobile app brings dynamic pricing to the restaurant industry through discounts that fluctuate based on day, time, weather and other factors that impact restaurant occupancy; with a spin! Spotluck has raised nearly $10M in venture capital and partners with over 1,300 restaurants throughout the East Coast. Spotluck has been featured in the New York Times, Bloomberg, Entrepreneur.com, MSNCB, NBC, FOX, ABC, CBS and several other media outlets within the U.S.
Cherian received his M.B.A. from Hood College and completed his second Masters in Leadership from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business, where he currently serves as an Entrepreneur in Residence. Recently, Cherian delivered the 2017 Graduate School Commencement at Hood College receiving an honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters.
Cherian resides in Bethesda, MD with his wife Catherine, an architect at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center. The couple recently had their first child, Devassy, who has stolen the attention from Osito, their ridiculously smart (and cute) shetland sheepdog.
Named one of the Top 50 Nonprofit CEOs in the U.S. by the Nonprofit Timesin 2016 and 2017, Scott Beale is the Founder and CEO of Atlas Corps, a leadership development program for the world’s best social change professionals. Sometimes called a “reverse Peace Corps,” Atlas Corps brings leaders from around the world to serve in the U.S., Colombia and Australia. Over 11 years, Atlas Corps has supported nearly 600 leaders from 87 countries who have served at many of the world’s best organizations in the U.S., Colombia and Australia, such as American Express, Ashoka, Grameen Foundation, McKinsey, UNICEF, and the U.S. Peace Corps. Prior to launching Atlas Corps, Mr. Beale worked in the White House, at Ashoka and with the U.S. Department of State. Among Mr. Beale numerous accolades include being named one of the top three nonprofit CEOs in Washington, DC; “The Nonprofit Entrepreneur” by the Washington Post; and the National Award for Citizen Diplomacy. Mr. Beale has a Bachelor’s Degree from Georgetown University and a Masters in Public Administration (MPA) from the University of Delaware. He is an alum of the Presidential Leadership Scholars Program and an Adjunct Professor of Leadership at Georgetown University. He serves on the Board of AIESEC USA. He currently splits time between Cuba and the U.S. and has lived in seven different countries (Bosnia, Colombia, Cuba, India, Mexico, Pakistan, and the U.S.).
Drew Clark is the founder and CEO at California Cowboy, a recently launched lifestyle brand that designs innovative gear for the social frontier. The brand’s mission is to use style to bring people together. Using “human centered” design, they create apparel designed to enhance end-use social experience. The entire line is Made in California.
The High Water shirt - California Cowboy’s flagship product - is designed with Apres-Surf and pool parties in mind. This Hunter Thompson - James Bond inspired is a social-centric reimagination of the vintage Aloha shirt, mashed up with the 1950’s-era terry-lined cabana suit. The High Water’s proprietary terry cloth lining works like a towel. With original hand painted prints, and a few other conversation starting details, the product is designed around enhancing the wearer’s ability to make analog social connections.
Their winterized version, dubbed the “High Sierra” is the first ever Apres Ski Shirt.
Prior to launching California Cowboy, Drew worked for more than 16 years in Design and Merchandising roles at Levi Strauss, Gap Inc, and Trumaker, a venture backed apparel start-up in San Francisco. He graduated from Georgetown’s College of Arts and Sciences in 2000 with a BA in English, and received his MBA from the University of Southern California in 2010.
California Cowboy has been featured in media outlets FHM, the San Francisco Chronicle, Powder Magazine, Women’s Wear Daily, and in industry blogs Uncrate, Airows, Inside Hook, and Brobile. He is currently working on collaborations with a number of influencers and creatives.
The company hired a Georgetown undergrad for its 2016 internship, and recently released limited-edition Hoya inspired prints.
Ann Yang, co-founder
Ann is the co-founder at Misfit Juicery and Phil’s best friend. She loves people. She is also a co-collaborator of Pineapple DC, a community for women in food that seeks to connect the good food movement with the foodie movement. She previously has worked for Spcial Tables and the Millennial Trains Project. Ann graduated in May 2016 from Georgetown University with a B.S. in Culture and Politics from the Walsh School of Foreign Service. She is a Gates Millenium Scholar and originally hails from Boulder, Colorado.
Phil Wong, co-founder
Phil is the co-founder of Misfit Juicery and Ann’s best friend. He likes doing things outside and wishes he could meet Carl Sagan, but Neil deGrasse Tyson would be cool, too. Phil has spent time in Rwanda and Senegal, both of which were integral to Misfit’s beginnings. Phil’s a Halycon Fellow and graduated from Georgetown’s Walsh School of Foreign Service with a BSFS in Science, Technology and International Affairs. His favorite books are Americanah, This is How You Lose Her, and Consider the Lobster.
